• Missed-appointment charges are penalties rather than services. It is not tipped.

The booking script, word for word

Read these out. They take about ninety seconds and they are the gap between a quote and a surprise. The final question matters most — a written quote settles any dispute at checkout.

2. "If I join the membership today, is there an enrolment or annual fee on top?"

Finally: get the quote in writing. A text or email costs the salon nothing and removes any argument at checkout.

A single $105 appointment is easy to justify. Maintained every 6-7 weeks, 60-minute massage becomes a $1,008 annual commitment at the national median — and that is the number worth deciding on.

Gratuity is included at 20% because it is effectively compulsory. Deduct it if you track tips apart from service spend.

Before hunting a cheaper provider, look at the interval. One fewer visit a year is about $126 kept; two fewer is $252. Neither costs you any quality.
